Korean BBQ Sauce recipe my way
Ingredients
• 150 ml Soy Sauce
• 150 ml Smoked BBQ Sauce
• 50 ml Honey
• 50 ml Rice vinegar
• 50 ml Sweet Pimento paste
• 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
• 4 cloves garlic crushed
• 1 Tsp Ginger grated
• 1/2 bunch Lemon Thyme leaves
• Salt & Pepper to taste
Method
Mix all ingredients into a sauce. I used about 2 kg of Pork ribs. First, remove thin membrane covering the rack. If you prefer your ribs to have a little bite then you can omit this step. I like my ribs to fall-off-the-bone. If you want, cut ribs in desired size or sections. Place them in plastic bag to marinate for couple of hours (save 100 ml of the sauce for basting). Set the oven temperature to 300 F. Place marinated ribs on baking tray and cover with aluminum foil. Bake for 2 hours. Uncover ribs, baste them with remained sauce and finish baking uncovered for 30 minutes until sauce is caramelized.
I chose to serve it with steamed Brussels Sprouts covered with butter and fresh dill and baked mini potatoes.
